The land weeps under the blight of the tyrant Mörkbeth.

Assault the grim fortress of Dunsinane, kill the monster, and free the land of the Scottish plague.

When Duncan’s revenant is destroyed, the battlefield floods with blood (this is not a Tomb of Horrors reference). Who would have known the old man to have had so much blood in him?

As it spreads, it moves beyond the walls and right to the horizon: the sky above darkens. Come, black night.

Characters’ health drops immediately to 2hp. Making a Toughness DR12 check gives them +D4 hp immediately; failing that check makes the characters who fail are infected until they leave the blood realm.

The character with the highest Presence understands that Mörkbeth’s throne lies in whichever direction they head. All roads lead to Rome.

The tyrant sits atop a throne of congealed blood shot through with strikes of fat. (Imagine black pudding with wagyu marbling).

  • Mörkbeth (begins the fight with 3 omens). 24hp, morale — , harness on his back –D4, ghost-dagger D4+special
  • Special: the ghost-dagger scores a critical hit on a defence roll of 1–3
  • Hubris: Mörkbeth does not act in the first round of combat. In subsequent rounds, use this for initiative instead: 1–2: Mörkbeth acts first; 3–4: players act first; 5–6 Mörkbeth does not act this round.
  • Omens: Mörkbeth will not use his omens to invalidate a critical hit; where possible, he will use all his omens on the same character.

If killed, hell’s porter itself comes to collect the corpse.

The blood realm fades over the next minute.

The Scottish plague fades over the next fortnight.

Can’t wait for this to be finished*? Check out MOLD MOTTE OF THE SHUNNED MONARCH in the mean-time.

* Yes this is the “finish”, but it isn’t “done”. Acts three and four to come when they’re ready.
